Watch the full demo here: https://youtu.be/odTlifUu_rw   This is a capture set based on the Star Sirius 30 Reverb amp by Mark Sampson of Matchless and Bad Cat fame.   Star amps will be known only to the most avid Matchless aficionados - it was Mark Sampson's next venture after Matchless and Bad Cat.   The Sirius 30 Reverb was the flagship model. The experience gained with the Chieftain, Hot Cat and other designs went into this one. The amp is built around Mark's favorite tube - the EL34 and it can be described as a mix of VOX and Marshall (as many Matchless amps), it retains lots of that VOX-like clarity found also in the Chieftain, but it has a more of those mid frequencies going on that are reminescent of Marshall plexi amps.   The clean/crunch channel is described by the few that have had the chance to compare this amp to other Matchless models as the most 3d sounding clean channel made by Mark Sampson.   It indeed does a great trick in that it is VOX-like, chimey and clear while clean and when going into overdrive, it starts to nicely fatten up the mids and get smoother/darker. This is a rather rare quality and i like it a lot on this amp.   The gain channel on it has divided spirits quite a bit, but with some love and tweaking there are certainly great tones to be had for the drive and lead department.   Additionally the clean channel takes pedals tremendously and sounds very powerful with those - so that is another way to get in the nastier territories with this beast.   The capture set features 34 full captures and the amp was captured through a Matchless 2X12 with G12H and G12M speakers. See a full list of included captures in the product picture section.
