The MRGN DUO20 is MRGN's upgraded version of a VOX AC15. There is some magic that has been done to the power amp that removes some of the disadvantages of the vintage units while still keeping the nice, compressed and spongy response of the amp intact and still managing to make it bigger and bolder.
The normal channel, which partially is also available in the AC20 (apart from the 12AX7 option) is capable some of the best clean tones out there and becomes massive when pushed. The Top (Top Boost) channel will give you all the chime and glass you would ever want from a VOX circuit, but without ever getting harsh or strident.
This is certainly one of our top favorite VOX inspired amps out there right now.
